[TOKO CLUB EVENTS] 2nd POP Kintsugi Workshop

[POP Kintsugi]

*This event is different from the "Authentic Kintsugi Workshop."

The "POP Kintsugi Workshop" is a one-day workshop where you can repair your piece and take it home.
The missing parts can be filled with putty and painted any color you like.

The lecturer will be restorer Suzuki Nobuhide.
After working at Konishi Art and Crafts Company and Tochigi Prefecture Ceramics Training Center, he went independent and has been restoring temples and privately owned cultural properties around the country.
He is a very friendly person.

Unlike the "Authentic Kintsugi Workshop," which uses natural lacquer and is carefully finished, this workshop will use modern materials for simple and inexpensive repairs.

[Workshop flow]

Please bring two or three pieces of ceramic (magnetic) that you would like to have repaired. Depending on the number of pieces and the extent of the cracks, it may take more than one day to complete the repair.
We will conduct a comprehensive interview to determine the extent of the damage and the time required for repair, and then decide which vessel to repair.

Unlike real lacquer, it is bonded using putty and resin (epoxy resin type), and the surface is covered with substitute lacquer.

*As this is a members-only event, registration for the membership service "TOKO CLUB" is required.
