Camellia Tea Ceremony
Late-blooming camellias bloom in March, and bush camellias also bloom in large numbers.
In the exhibition "Thinking about Camellia Pottery," the interior of the pottery store will be decorated with camellias, just like the poems in the Manyoshu.
In conjunction with the "Considerations on Camellia Utensils" event, we will be holding a "Camellia Tea Ceremony."
We have prepared a special time for you to enjoy thick and thin tea with camellias.
We hope you enjoy the unique atmosphere of Mashiko.
The tea ceremony will use tea bowls and other utensils by Mashiko potter Seiichi Imanari.
Mr. Imanari will also be participating, and it will be an opportunity to hear about his thoughts on pottery making and the materials he uses.
Please spend a relaxing spring day in Mashiko.
