
[TOKO CLUB EVENTS] Culinary Expert Kyoko Tateno | "Tableware" and "Snacks" to Enjoy Spring

A cooking event was scheduled to be held at the pottery storehouse in March 2011.
However, the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred the day before forced the event to be cancelled.
Time has passed since then, and the pottery storehouse is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
In this milestone year, we are finally able to hold the event using the original recipes. This time, we will be welcoming Kyoko Tateno, a cooking expert who is well known for her appearances on NHK's "Today's Cooking" and "Asaichi," to propose two snack dishes.
Tateno has visited Mashiko many times and regularly uses pottery from the pottery store's original brand, Doso Dowada Kiln, in her cooking classes at home.
In addition to talking about cooking, this is a valuable opportunity to hear about the appeal and uses of tableware.
We hope to spend a peaceful and warm time with you all on this special milestone of our 50th anniversary.

Ms. Kyoko Tateno will be demonstrating cooking.
The food will be served on Doso Towada Kiln tableware, which Tateno-san regularly uses, and everyone will be able to enjoy this spring treat.
You can wash the dishes you used and take them home with you.

Kyoko Tateno

Culinary researcher. While studying piano at Toho Gakuen College of Music, she won a prize in the NHK "Today's Cooking" competition, which led her to pursue a career in cooking. Since then, she has continued to propose hearty dishes that are easy to make at home through television programs such as NHK's "Today's Cooking" and "Asaichi," as well as magazines and books. She also runs cooking classes and is actively involved in activities to share knowledge and techniques that enrich the dining table.
